Shipping policy

At The Pet Source, we ship orders from our warehouse in Toronto, Ontario, using trusted carriers, including UPS, Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, ICS Courier, and Canpar.

Free Shipping – Dry Goods

We offer free shipping on eligible orders that meet the following minimum purchase amounts, excluding certain items:

• Ontario & Quebec: $99
• BC, AB, SK, MB, NS, NB, PE, NL: $149
• NT, YT, NU: $199

We select the most cost-effective shipping carrier at our discretion, which may include UPS, Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, ICS Courier, or Canpar.

Items Excluded from Free Shipping

The following products do not qualify for free shipping:

• Heavy & Oversized Items – Includes aquariums, stands, extra-long lights, salt, select filter media, and similar bulky products.
• Frozen & Live Food – These items require overnight shipping and are only delivered to locations where overnight service is available.

Shipping for Heavy & Oversized Items

Orders containing heavy or oversized items do not qualify for free or flat-rate shipping. Shipping costs for these products—such as salt, sand, and aquariums—are calculated based on actual shipping rates.

Handling & Transit Times

We aim to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. Most orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days, with the following estimated delivery times:

• Handling Time: 1-6 business days
• Estimated Shipping Times:
  • Ontario: 1-2 business days
  • Quebec & Manitoba: 1-3 business days
  • AB, BC, SK, NB, NS, NL, YT, NT: 2-7 business days
